a man of mystery. born oct. 8, 1950, in in allentown, PA, also lived in massachusetts and NYC, active in underground comix from the late 70s to early 90s. he published a comic strip in New York Press called 'Amy and Jordan' that is collected in a book of the same title. there are a few collections of full-page comics ('Agony', 'A Disturbing Evening And Other Stories', 'Dead Stories'), and some uncollected stuff can be found in issues of Raw magazine (alongside huge names like art spiegelman and lynda barry). there was also a short-lived animation project for MTV's Liquid Television called 'The Adventures of Thomas and Nardo'.
his comics are notable for intensely detailed geometric patterns filling the page, unusually decorated/shaped frames around panels (especially in the Amy + Jordan strips from NYP, which rarely come close to conforming to the classic four- or five-panel structure despite filling the shape of a standard newspaper strip), strange stylized figures, stories with a childlike perspective and unnatural dialogue, and characters troubled by random violence, despair, poverty, and elements of paranoid nightmares.
